Undertale is is an all time favorite of mine, so it should come as no surprise that Toby Fox’s followup game Deltarune instantly drew my attention with its unexpected release a week and a half ago. And thankfully, it entirely lives up to this hype, continuing the Fox’s tradition of creating quirky characters that force the player to question the morality of gaming tropes that have become baked into the medium. The combat system builds on its predecessor with the new party system, the pixel art looks much better this time around, and the soundtrack is fantastic. If you enjoyed Undertale, this is a must play.
